Mt Hay is just the most wonderful area to be, very much feels in the middle of nowhere. The only small issue with using these walks for training is that it takes so long to drive out there… so we generally combine it with something else, like a picnic dinner.

The very rare Pink Flannel Flower was out in abundance. Actinotus forsythii is rare because it only flowers after bush fire and ample spring rain. You wouldn't think it was rare when confronting this level of abundance, but it can disappear for years between good seasons.
