Comment
The start of the hike, including the pre-walk food drops, had to change as Angorichina Tourist Village were not willing to accommodate us for two single and separate nights (they have a 2 night minimum). This means:
- First night of the Food Drop run moved from Angorichina to Wilpena Pound
- Start of the hike changed from overnighting at Angorichina before the hike, to Angorichina picking us up from Parachilna and dropping us at the Heysen Trail Head, where we'll walk in to the first campsite.
The official reroute around private property neer Bundaleer Forest added extra kilometres and required changing the planned overnight from Curnows Hut Campsite to Bundaleer Springs Picnic Area (or nearby). Thankfully the planned day after Curnows Hut was fairly short, so the extra kilometres from Bundaleer Springs Picnic Area to Bundaleer Weir Campsite (bypassing Curnows Hut, or maybe stopping for lunch), fitted without adding extra days to the Itinerary.
We've also started working through the Shopping Lists, and ordering the items that probably won't change with iterative tweaking… this means that we needed to get somewhere to order and store the Food Drop items. We were planning a 4x4 cabinet, but Sandi suffered some Ikea Confusion, and we ended up with 4x3 (which is why two of the cubes are on top). All good: it fits better in the room that way.
