As a piece, I am extremely happy with this image – it does everything I hoped for: The multifaceted history of these two young lives both forming and being coloured by the couple. It's a beautiful image that was wonderfully augmented by the Community Performance of putting it together.
Like Keren & Danni's piece, I was constantly struck with my own memories: Seeing some of my favourite photos and memories float around the mosaic continues to be an emotional experience.
There are many photos that I had no memory of, or were of people and experiences of long before I knew them: all those photos from the Hill clan are of people looking back at me that I didn't know, and were of experiences I had no experience of, but that shaped your lives into the people that I know today.
I sincerely hope that as you investigate the photos that make up the PhotoMosaic of Nathanael & Monica (running your cursor over the image will display a thumbnail of the underlying photo and clicking on the mosaic will display the underlying full sized photo), that you also find photos that are full of your memories too, and you get a sense of the history that has been imbued into both Nathanael and Monica and that they'll continue to augment and develop through all the years that Jesus gives them.
